Director of Automation Delivery

About the role

Reporting to the EVP Global Strategy & Technical Operations, the Director of Automation Delivery will lead the rapid deployment of automation technologies across Bimeda’s North American manufacturing network. Based at the Cambridge Manufacturing site, this hands‑on role is responsible for delivering scalable automation solutions that improve efficiency, safety and production reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end automation implementation projects, from concept through budgeting, design review, procurement, installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning and operational hand‑over.
• Manage relationships with local and Tier 1 Chinese automation integrators, develop technical documentation, URS packages and costing models, and drive commercial and technical negotiations.
• Provide technical oversight for automation system architecture, controls integration, robotics, packaging automation, material handling and digital manufacturing technologies.
• Ensure all deployments comply with GMP, FDA, Health Canada, safety and environmental regulations and support qualification and validation activities.

Required profile

• 10+ years leading industrial automation or capital projects in regulated manufacturing (pharma, biologics, food).
• Proven track record delivering automation solutions across multiple sites with measurable operational and financial benefits.
• Strong analytical, results‑oriented mindset and ability to work hands‑on on the factory floor.
