Director, Global AI Thought Leadership

About the role

The Director, Global AI Thought Leadership will shape Mastercard’s narrative on artificial intelligence, positioning the company as a trusted leader in applied AI. Reporting to the Vice President of AI Thought Leadership, this senior role partners with AI product, engineering and subject‑matter experts to create compelling content that drives engagement with customers, stakeholders and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor AI and data technology landscape, industry trends, and emerging opportunities and risks for Mastercard and its customers.
• Develop original thought leadership, research reports, whitepapers, executive briefs and other flagship content on AI adoption, trust, economic impact, workforce transformation and the future of commerce.
• Create and deliver presentations, keynote materials and webinar content to position Mastercard as a trusted leader in applied AI.
• Collaborate with AI product, engineering and subject‑matter experts to shape a unified narrative for Mastercard’s AI solutions.
• Lead the AI Thought Leadership team in shaping internal and external perspectives on artificial intelligence and its societal impact.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in AI strategy, thought leadership or related fields.
• Strong ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience producing research reports, whitepapers and executive briefings.
• Track record of influencing stakeholders across product, engineering and business functions.
