Digital Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Belonging Forum is seeking a creative and organized early‑career communicator to manage its digital communications. Reporting to the Manager, Communications & Operations, you will support social media, newsletters, website updates, and digital storytelling for a mission‑driven nonprofit.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate digital channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, website, and email newsletters.
• Draft, schedule, and publish social media content across platforms.
• Write, design, format, and distribute newsletters and e‑blasts using Mailchimp.
• Assist in creating communications materials for initiatives, reports, events, and announcements.
• Maintain editorial calendars and communication timelines.
• Monitor engagement, support community management, and conduct media monitoring.
• Update website content and manage digital assets.
• Ensure consistent messaging and visual presentation across all channels.

Required profile

• Strong writing and editing ability with adaptable tone for different audiences.
• 1–2 years of experience in communications, social media, digital marketing, or nonprofit communications (including internships).
• Post‑secondary education in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Media Studies, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Interest in social impact and public engagement.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
