DevOps Engineer – Remote (PST timezone)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, but you will work on Pacific Standard Time hours and participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure on AWS, bare‑metal servers, and OpenStack environments.
• Perform Linux kernel performance analysis, tuning, and troubleshooting in data‑center settings.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash.
• Manage configuration and provisioning with Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and version control with GitHub.
• Monitor systems and logs with Grafana, Splunk, and respond to incidents via PagerDuty.
• Participate in a 24x7x365 on‑call support rotation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS, bare‑metal server infrastructure, and OpenStack.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Ability to work remotely on PST schedule and join on‑call rotation.
