DevOps Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, operating on Pacific Standard Time, and focuses on building and maintaining both bare‑metal and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage bare‑metal server infrastructure and AWS cloud resources.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Implement and support Kubernetes clusters and related deployment pipelines.
• Monitor system performance, conduct kernel tuning, and resolve incidents via PagerDuty.
• Participate in on‑call rotation (once a month weekend) and provide timely incident response.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals, performance analysis, and data‑center environments.
• Hands‑on experience with bare‑metal servers, OpenStack, and AWS.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and align with PST business hours.
