DevOps Engineer – Remote (Canada)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our remote team supporting a Canadian infrastructure. The role focuses on bare‑metal servers, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud deployments, ensuring high performance and reliability across data‑center environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain bare‑metal and cloud infrastructure on AWS and OpenStack.
• Deploy, scale, and manage Kubernetes clusters for production workloads.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Ansible and Terraform.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and integrate code repositories via GitHub.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security using Grafana, Splunk, and PagerDuty.
• Perform Linux kernel tuning, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation, covering one weekend per month with compensatory leave.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals and data‑center performance tuning.
• Experience working remotely in the PST time zone.
• Ability to handle on‑call responsibilities and work independently.
