Desktop Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join our team immediately at our Colonsay site. The role involves providing hands‑on support for Windows and Apple devices, managing hardware assets, and ensuring smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Image, install, move, add, and change software on Windows and Apple laptops/desktops, including iMacs.
• Provide remote support and troubleshoot post‑deployment issues across Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
• Perform printer break‑fix, installation, and maintenance.
• Coordinate disposal, redeployment, and asset reclamation of hardware.
• Manage data backup and recovery processes.
• Execute hardware refresh, warranty, and out‑of‑warranty repairs.
• Support depot services, walk‑up assistance, and spare‑parts inventory.
• Provide first‑level VDI troubleshooting and executive (VIP) support.
• Conduct audio and video health checks.
• Maintain inventory and asset management, including tagging and system entry.
• Collaborate with external vendors for dispatch support and repairs.
• Generate weekly reports on inventory counts and hardware outflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of technical support experience.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to nearby sites.
• Ability to pass a mandatory drug test.
• Ready to relocate to the specified site if needed.
