Desktop Support Technician – 6‑Month Onsite Role

About the role

Join Dexian as a Desktop Support Technician for a six‑month onsite assignment in Scarborough, Ontario. You will build, configure, and ship laptops while providing remote final‑configuration support through Microsoft Teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and configure laptops to meet customer specifications.
• Conduct remote sessions via Teams to verify configurations and obtain customer approval.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Document hardware/software changes and perform upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Manage user accounts, security rights, and group memberships.
• Train end‑users, diagnose product failures, and order or replace parts.
• Recommend appropriate products or services based on customer needs.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in desktop support or a related IT field.
• Familiarity with standard IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to work under general supervision and exercise judgment.
• Creative problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude.
