About the role

We are seeking a Residential Designer to join NORR’s multidisciplinary design team. The role involves creating high‑quality architectural solutions for multi‑family residential projects, supporting smart‑growth and wellness initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse project information from reports and published documents to define design requirements.
• Develop architectural concepts, drawings and 3D models that meet quality, budget and schedule targets.
• Coordinate design intent with engineering, MEP and structural disciplines and ensure compliance with codes and jurisdictional regulations.
• Prepare design reports, construction documents and office‑standard deliverables.
• Conduct site visits, monitor construction compliance and resolve deviations with owners and contractors.
• Review shop drawings and project submittals for adherence to design intent and quality standards.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of professional experience in architectural design, preferably with residential projects.
• Completed post‑secondary education in architecture or a related field.
• Registration with a professional architectural association is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of MEP and structural building systems and applicable building codes.
