Deck Installer – Outdoor Construction

About the role

MDI Construction Group Inc. is seeking a reliable Deck Installer to join its crew in Timberlea, NS. The role involves installing, repairing and maintaining exterior prefabricated products such as decks, awnings, fences and siding on residential and commercial sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install exterior prefabricated products according to blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret plans to determine layout, measurements and installation procedures.
• Measure, mark and prepare guidelines for accurate installations.
• Repair and service existing decks, awnings, fences and siding.
• Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment, and maintain material inventories.
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently on site.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in deck or exterior product installation.
• Ability to work outdoors, at heights and in fast‑paced, physically demanding environments.
• Punctual, accurate, dependable and client‑focused.
• Strong oral communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized, flexible and committed to safety standards.
