Data Scientist II – Identity & Risk Solutions

About the role

Join Mastercard’s Security Solutions Data Science team to develop AI and ML models that power identity and risk solutions for digital payments. You will work on merchant risk assessment, building a merchant registry and profiling capability that enhances onboarding and ongoing monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large‑scale transaction, merchant, and related entity data to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Support research and development of a merchant registry and profiling capability to strengthen risk assessment.
• Contribute to feature engineering, entity resolution, and analytical workflows that improve merchant‑level intelligence.
• Prototype machine learning and analytical solutions for merchant risk detection.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design scalable, repeatable, and industrialised data‑science pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong background in data science and machine learning applied to risk or fraud domains.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and building production‑ready models.
• Ability to design end‑to‑end data‑science workflows from data extraction to model monitoring.
