Data Center Construction Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead the MEP scope of a major data‑center renovation. The role focuses on construction and commissioning of critical infrastructure, not on IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all MEP design, procurement, and construction activities for the data‑center project.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedule, risk registers, and financial controls.
• Lead the creation and evaluation of RFPs, bid leveling, and contractor selection.
• Support budgeting, GMP, cash‑flow forecasting, and invoice/pay‑application reviews.
• Coordinate start‑up, factory witness tests, commissioning, and hand‑over procedures.
• Implement and monitor QA/QC processes, ensuring compliance with quality metrics.
• Provide clear communication of issues and decisions to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in data‑center construction, with at least 5 years in senior MEP project management.
• Formal education in engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to identify scope changes, assess risks, and drive mitigation plans.
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with critical path scheduling and schedule risk analysis.
