Data Analyst, Credit Risk Management Department

About the role

The Credit Risk Management Department is seeking a Data Analyst to design, develop, and optimise credit rating models. You will work with large financial datasets, ensure model robustness, and communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise credit rating models, experimenting with algorithms and frameworks.
• Prepare and analyse large datasets, ensuring quality and relevance for model training.
• Implement evaluation metrics, conduct validation, and perform testing of model configurations.
• Deploy models to production, monitor real‑time performance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Produce regular performance reports and collaborate with data stakeholders to align model objectives with business goals.
• Communicate findings and methodologies to technical teams, business partners, and regulators.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Head and Senior Manager of the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, Financial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in financial modelling, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of model development, validation, evaluation and optimisation.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and strong communication skills in English.
• Fluency in Chinese is an asset.
