Cybersecurity Data Analyst – Risk & Vulnerability Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a senior Cybersecurity Data Analyst to design and build scalable data models, analytics frameworks, and reporting solutions that turn large vulnerability datasets into actionable insights. The role is fully remote and supports the security, risk, and engineering teams in monitoring risk exposure, remediation progress, and trend analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relational data models that integrate vulnerability, asset, and system data.
• Standardize and normalize data from multiple sources for efficient querying.
• Define and track KPIs such as open critical vulnerabilities, SLA adherence, backlog, and Mean Time to Patch.
• Develop automated weekly reports and monthly risk posture snapshots.
• Create interactive dashboards in Power BI or Tableau for operational and executive audiences.
• Perform root‑cause and trend analysis to identify control gaps and emerging risk patterns.
• Collaborate with security, risk, and engineering teams to define data standards and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or quantitative roles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently and drive insights end‑to‑end.
• Excellent communication skills to convey data‑driven insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and relational data modeling at scale.
• Python (or similar) for data transformation and automation.
• Experience with data integration and ETL pipelines.
• Power BI and Tableau for dashboarding and visualization.
