Cyber Security Specialist – Toronto (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our Toronto team for a six‑month engagement, with a strong possibility of extension. The role focuses on strengthening governance, risk, and compliance processes while leveraging AI‑driven automation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive consistency in governance routines and ensure adherence to risk and control frameworks.
• Introduce AI‑enabled automation to improve existing security processes.
• Document, manage, and automate workflow activities using enterprise tools such as JIRA.
• Establish governance mechanisms that provide comprehensive reporting across cyber domains.
• Identify systemic and emerging risks to support leadership decision‑making.
• Produce clear, concise reports for senior management and risk committees.
• Monitor emerging threats, technology trends, and third‑party risks.
• Facilitate governance forums and executive‑level discussions.

Required profile

• Experience in cyber security governance, risk management, or related fields.
• Ability to analyze complex security issues and propose actionable solutions.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to work on‑site four days per week in Toronto.
