Customer Experience Representative - Sales

About the role

As a Customer Experience Representative – Sales you will create a warm, welcoming atmosphere in Indigo stores and bring joy to customers through storytelling and product knowledge. You will model Indigo’s values, engage shoppers on the floor, and help them discover books and lifestyle items that match their interests.

Key responsibilities

• Create a warm and welcoming environment in the store.
• Add joy to customers’ lives by sharing stories about products.
• Engage and connect with customers on the sales floor.
• Curate personalized product collections for each shopper.
• Maintain visual standards and store presentation.
• Stay informed about new products, promotions and programs.
• Prioritize health and safety for staff and customers.
• Respond promptly to customer feedback.
• Model Indigo’s high‑performance characteristics and hold self and others accountable.
• Share ideas with leadership to improve employee and customer experience.

Required profile

• Experience in specialty retail or a retail environment (preferred but not required).
• Adaptability, flexibility and willingness to learn all aspects of the store.
• Commitment to delivering an exceptional employee and customer experience.
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Capability to lift items up to 40 lb using proper equipment and safety techniques.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and early mornings.
• Bilingualism (French/English) required for Québec positions; additional languages are an asset.
