Customer Advisor I – Part‑time Retail Associate

About the role

Lee Valley Tools is seeking a Customer Advisor I to deliver high‑quality support for customer orders and enquiries. The role involves answering product questions, processing transactions, handling returns, and assisting with order fulfillment in a vibrant retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process in‑store payment transactions and follow cash‑handling procedures.
• Place items on hold and manage exchanges and returns according to set procedures.
• Lookup customer numbers in CW / STEP systems.
• Fill customer orders, including preparation of required safety sheets.
• Greet customers, help locate items, and refill in‑store displays.
• Identify back‑order eligibility and assist customers in placing orders.
• Occasionally receive and re‑shelf products delivered to the warehouse.
• Participate in floor engagements such as product demos and drop‑ins.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of retail experience (considered an asset).
• Experience in a skilled craft or trade such as woodworking or gardening is a significant asset.
• Ability to follow set procedures and work with basic instructions for new products or processes.
