Customer Advisor I

About the role

Lee Valley Tools is seeking a Customer Advisor I to deliver high‑quality support for in‑store customers. The role involves handling transactions, answering product questions, and assisting with order fulfillment in a friendly, hands‑on retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process in‑store payment transactions and follow cash‑handling procedures.
• Place items on hold, process exchanges, returns, and re‑shelve merchandise as needed.
• Assist customers in locating products, answer basic product questions, and greet them upon entry.
• Fill customer orders, manage back‑orders, and support inventory movement for inter‑store transfers.
• Help maintain showroom displays and occasionally aid in receiving and re‑shelving warehouse deliveries.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of retail experience is considered an asset.
• Experience in a skilled craft or trade such as woodworking or gardening is a significant advantage.
• Ability to follow set procedures and work with basic instruction for new products or processes.
