Credit Coordinator

About the role

This full‑time Credit Coordinator position is being recruited by EQ on behalf of its wholly owned subsidiary, Bennington Financial Corp. The role supports commercial equipment financing and leasing operations from the Oakville head office, working on a hybrid schedule (9 am‑5 pm EST). You will act as a key liaison between the Credit, Funding, and broker teams to ensure smooth processing of credit applications.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Credit and Funding teams to maintain service levels for strategic broker partners.
• Monitor and route emails and online applications submitted to the internal broker desk.
• Set up new credit applications, obtain third‑party information, pull Equifax and PayNet reports, and flag unusual cases for Credit Analysts.
• Create lease documents, generate waivers based on searches, and ensure timely, accurate delivery to brokers.
• Assemble preliminary credit packages for funding review, collecting all required documentation.
• Process vendor approvals by researching, validating information, and updating systems.
• Assist the Manager with quality‑assurance and compliance audits, and support special projects involving data analysis and Excel modeling.

Required profile

• University or college degree in Business or Finance (or equivalent experience); C.C.P. program enrollment is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar credit role.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
• Organized, accurate, and capable of prioritising and multitasking effectively.
