Credit Analyst

About the role

The Credit Analyst will support the Branch’s lending portfolio by preparing credit risk reviews, conducting detailed financial and industry analyses, and providing recommendations that align with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare credit risk reviews, internal risk ratings, and credit line recommendations for loan proposals.
• Analyze financial statements and cash‑flow projections to assess borrower creditworthiness.
• Research borrower‑specific and industry‑wide business risks.
• Ensure compliance with credit standards, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with corporate banking and risk partners to support lending decisions.
• Conduct portfolio reviews, identify early warning signals, and maintain accurate internal ratings.
• Produce industry research reports and credit risk management documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in commercial or corporate lending, credit analysis, or risk management.
• Formal credit training or coursework in financial analysis or risk management is an asset.
• Professional designations such as CFA, FRM, or CPA are a plus.
