About the role

The CRCL Coordinator oversees daily operations of the Crisis Response Community Led (CRCL) team in Victoria, providing frontline care and ensuring high‑quality service delivery. This position supports staff, manages case documentation, and collaborates with community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and provide direct services including performance coaching and debriefing.
• Maintain effective relationships with CRCL staff, leadership, and external care providers such as emergency services.
• Ensure quality control of confidential case notes, service reporting, and compliance with policies.
• Participate in team development, hiring, training, and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Emotional resilience with the ability to center the needs of persons in crisis.
• Proven leadership experience (3‑5 years of staff supervision) in mental health or related fields.
• Strong ethical decision‑making, non‑violent communication, and ability to manage hostile interactions.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime as required by collective agreements.

Required skills

• Experience providing mental health care, crisis de‑escalation, and trauma‑informed approaches.
• Critical assessment skills for suicidal/homicidal situations and safety planning.
• Knowledge of harm reduction, cultural humility, and the impacts of colonization.
