Crane Truck Driver

About the role

Roofmart, Canada's national distributor for exterior building supply (roofing, siding, metal and building envelope), is hiring a truck driver in Nepean. The role involves safely loading, moving and delivering product, with a salary range of $30-$32.

Key responsibilities

• Safely load, move and deliver product
• Perform pre-operational inspections, maintenance checklists, cleaning and lubricating of the crane
• Maintain clean and organized work environments in the store, yard and trucks
• Comply strictly with all health and safety rules, regulations and legislation
• Other duties as required

Required profile

• Valid insurable Class 3 CDL and ability to provide a current West drivers abstract
• Valid insurable AZ/DZ licence and a clean driving abstract (East)
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100 lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Authorization to work in Canada
• Preferred: previous truck driver and operator experience

Required skills

• Load securement training (can be provided)
• Forklift/Moffett training, fall protection and first aid certificates are assets (can be provided)
