About the role
The Trottier Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design (TISED) at McGill University invites applications for a Course Lecturer position for the Winter 2027 term. The role involves teaching the 3‑credit course SEAD 530 – Economics for Sustainability in Engineering and Design, scheduled on Thursdays from 2:35 pm to 5:25 pm in ENGTR 1100.
Required profile
- Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Engineering or a closely related field
- Teaching experience in a university environment in English and/or French
- Demonstrated knowledge of micro and macroeconomics of sustainability, market structures, principles of substitution, market failures, externalities, and monetization
- Understanding of policy instruments, permits, incentives, taxation, eco‑social principles, mechanism design, life‑cycle analysis, and circular economy
- Experience in economic analysis for sustainability through graduate education or teaching
