About the role
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer to teach the Fall 2026 semester of Dynamics of Combustion (MECH 652/447). The appointment runs from August 31 to December 18, with classes scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:35 pm to 3:55 pm.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and lead discussions on combustion dynamics for undergraduate or graduate students.
- Prepare and update course materials, including lecture notes, assignments, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through exams, projects, and participation.
- Maintain office hours and provide academic support to students.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least three years of teaching experience or relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of combustion theory and dynamics.
- Experience with academic instruction and curriculum development.
