Courier Driver – Floating Routes (FedEx DG Specialist)

About the role

This position is for a flexible courier driver who operates company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages on a floating basis. The role covers open routes when regular couriers are unavailable and supports sales growth by generating incremental revenue where possible.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to complete a minimum of 15 floating routes per shift.
• Provide coverage for open or absent courier routes without a permanently assigned route.
• Mentor hourly employees by demonstrating strong communication, conflict‑resolution and leadership practices.
• Promote continued sales and identify opportunities for additional revenue.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of prior courier experience.
• Six months of on‑the‑job training to become fully proficient.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 70 lb and maneuver packages up to 150 lb using appropriate equipment.
• In Quebec, bilingual proficiency in French and English.

Required skills

• DG (Dangerous Goods) certification and ability to maintain it through annual recurrency training.
• FedEx DG Specialist certification.
• Good understanding of FedEx products, services and general operations.
