Correctional Nurse – Various Locations in Manitoba

About the role

This position offers experienced nurses the opportunity to work within Manitoba's correctional system, providing autonomous health care to clients in secure facilities. You will collaborate with an on‑call physician and deliver comprehensive nursing services in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor the health of individuals in correctional centres such as the Winnipeg Remand Centre and Manitoba Youth Centre.
• Work independently while consulting with the on‑call physician as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with health‑care regulations.
• Provide health education and preventive care to clients and staff.

Required profile

• Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Graduate Nurse meeting the essential criteria.
• Willingness to work in rural or northern Manitoba locations and relocate if required.
• Commitment to equitable employment practices and ability to serve diverse populations.
