Corporate Controller

About the role

The Corporate Controller will lead the finance function for Henry Schein Global’s Canadian operations based in Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, oversee payroll, manage treasury activities and coordinate internal and external audits while supporting strategic decision‑making across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver timely financial statements and regulatory reports in accordance with public company standards.
• Maintain the general ledger, reconcile balance‑sheet and income‑statement accounts each month.
• Oversee payroll processes, wage and salary administration, benefits and workers’ compensation compliance.
• Manage banking relationships, cash‑flow forecasting, FX hedging and treasury operations.
• Lead internal audit activities and serve as the primary liaison with independent auditors.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Marketing, Service and Operations to improve accounting processes and provide actionable financial insights.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a corporate finance environment of a public company.
• Proven track record of managing full‑cycle accounting, payroll and treasury functions.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian provincial payroll legislation and accounting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams, fostering diversity and inclusion.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
