Corporate Controller

About the role

Rodan Energy is seeking a senior finance leader to own the end‑to‑end accounting cycle for its distributed energy solutions business. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Corporate Controller will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and robust internal controls across all entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and sub‑ledgers.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, inter‑company transactions and accounting adjustments.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations, consolidated financial statements and ASPE reporting.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, revenue recognition and cash management.
• Design and maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure audit readiness.
• Coordinate external audits, corporate tax filings (Canada and U.S.) and lender reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Sales, HR and other stakeholders to ensure accurate source data.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑entity close processes and consolidations.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. tax compliance and statutory filing requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with auditors, tax advisors, lenders and internal teams.
