About the role
The Coordinator, Partnership Development provides day‑to‑day coordination and execution support to advance corporate partnership initiatives at Food Banks Canada. Working closely with the Manager, Partnership Development, this role supports the qualification, cultivation, and development of new partnerships across cause marketing, sponsorship, and philanthropic giving.
Key responsibilities
- Support the execution of a proactive lead generation strategy to secure new in‑kind and funding partnerships, diversifying the partner base through new industry segments and growing base‑level funders.
- Assist with developing prospect research profiles and present business initiatives to new audiences and partners through presentations, briefings, and reports to create a pipeline of new partners/donors.
- Work with senior leadership and internal cross‑functional teams to identify partnership opportunities.
- Support the reporting and financial tracking of strategic partnerships within the CRM database.
- Provide coordinated support to build corporate relationship loyalty through meticulous service and creative problem solving.
- Assist with the ideation and development of national corporate and cause‑marketing campaigns for organizations in cultivation.
Required profile
- Post‑secondary college diploma or equivalent in business, marketing, fundraising management or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in B2B marketing/sales, agency or corporate development with focus on cause marketing, sponsorship, account development, partner acquisition or lead generation.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset.
- Ability to coordinate multifaceted projects and thrive in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment.
- Confident, polished communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and solid knowledge of the Internet/Intranet.
- Experience using CRM/databases such as Raiser’s Edge, Mission CRM, Salesforce, etc.
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical, time‑management and organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
