Cooperative Education Manager

About the role

The Cooperative Education Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for UBC's co‑op program. Reporting to the Director of Academic, Career and Experiential Education, this role ensures high‑quality co‑op experiences for undergraduate students across multiple faculties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Interdisciplinary Co‑op team, setting priorities, allocating workloads and managing performance.
• Oversee program planning, accreditation compliance (CEWIL), curriculum alignment and outcome reporting.
• Collaborate with the Provost Office, Faculty leadership, Business Development and Career Development managers.
• Represent faculty interests on campus‑wide Co‑op & WIL committees and contribute to strategic initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with external employers, alumni and professional associations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in higher‑education program management or related field.
• Strong leadership, coaching and performance‑management skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with academic and external partners.
• Knowledge of co‑op accreditation standards and labour‑market trends.
