About the role
The Science Co‑op Program at UBC seeks a dedicated Coordinator to manage the leave‑replacement period. You will oversee the delivery of cooperative education experiences for science students, ensuring alignment with national accreditation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the Science Co‑op Program.
- Design and execute student recruitment strategies.
- Facilitate career‑readiness curriculum, advising and coaching students for job searches and work placements.
- Monitor co‑op placements, resolve workplace issues, and assess student success each term.
- Maintain day‑to‑day program administration and collaborate with co‑op professionals provincially and nationally.
- Build and sustain relationships with local, national, and international employers.
Required profile
- Experience in cooperative education or program coordination within a post‑secondary setting.
- Strong knowledge of CEWIL Canada accreditation standards.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills for student and employer interactions.
- Ability to analyze placement data and produce evaluation reports.
