About the role
Leopold's Tavern Transcona is seeking a dedicated cook to join its restaurant team in Winnipeg. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality meals in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining strict food safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes according to recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory records, and manage stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork orientation.
