About the role
The Farmer's Cuisine Ltd is looking for a dedicated Cook to join its Winnipeg kitchen. This full‑time role involves preparing high‑quality meals, managing portion sizes and costs, and supporting menu planning in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for service.
- Requisition food items and kitchen supplies.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, including options for customers with allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required profile
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- Ability to work full‑time in an onsite kitchen setting.
- Experience in a similar role is an asset but not mandatory.
Required skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to calculate portion costs and manage inventory.
- Experience preparing meals for customers with dietary restrictions.
