Cook – Full-time Permanent Position

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team at Browns Crafthouse Main St in Vancouver. This full‑time permanent position involves preparing a variety of meals, maintaining high standards of food safety, and supporting a welcoming environment for young staff members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to menu specifications.
• Prepare special meals for patients as directed by a dietitian or head chef.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling practices.
• Order and manage kitchen supplies and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and work areas in compliance with health regulations.

Required profile

• No formal degree, certificate or diploma required.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a youth‑friendly workplace.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking.
• Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
• Operation of standard kitchen equipment.
• Supply ordering and inventory management.
