Controller – Finance Leader for High‑Growth Tech

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Controller/Director of Finance to lead our end‑to‑end accounting function, deliver GAAP‑compliant financial statements, and partner with the executive team on strategic decisions. This role blends operational excellence with strategic insight in a fast‑moving, venture‑backed tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead core accounting operations: general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, consolidations, and revenue recognition.
• Own and continuously improve monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare investor‑ready financial statements and manage tax, regulatory filings, and audit preparation.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, runway analysis, and scenario modeling.
• Design and implement scalable finance processes and ERP systems (NetSuite or Sage).
• Partner with executives on financial planning, performance insights, and capital allocation.
• Manage relationships with external partners such as auditors, banks, and insurers.
• Build, mentor, and grow a high‑performance finance and accounting team.

Required profile

• CPA designation (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s/MBA a plus).
• 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, ideally in public accounting and high‑growth SaaS/fintech.
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a venture‑backed tech company.
• Strong command of GAAP, internal controls, and scaling finance operations.
