Control Testing Officer – Compliance Auditor

About the role

The Control Testing Officer will lead the execution of compliance testing reviews within Société Générale US. This role ensures that policies, procedures, and internal controls are designed effectively and operate as intended to meet regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of testing reviews as part of the annual risk‑based compliance testing plan.
• Gather information to understand processes, risks, and controls; develop testing programs and scripts.
• Document testing work in detail, identify issues, and ensure corrective action plans are created and tracked.
• Prepare final testing reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Validate completion of action plans by agreed deadlines.
• Assist the Compliance Testing Head in developing the annual monitoring and testing plan.
• Maintain regular engagement with business and compliance stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for a designated business area.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of banking and broker‑dealer risks and regulations.
• Understanding of regulatory applicability to identify key risk areas.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple simultaneous requests.
• Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach.
