Contract Pharmacist – Edmonton

About the role
CareRx is seeking a Contract Pharmacist to join its Edmonton team, providing pharmacy services to long‑term care and retirement communities. Reporting to the Designated Pharmacy Manager, you will ensure prescriptions are dispensed accurately, safely, and in a therapeutically appropriate manner.
Key responsibilities
- Verify safe and appropriate medication administration for residents.
- Assess and dispense critical and palliative care medications.
- Coordinate drug deliveries with the delivery team.
- Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews and document recommendations.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and resident care teams to maintain high‑quality service.
- Follow provincial and federal pharmacy regulations and company policies.
Required profile
- Licensed pharmacist eligible to practice in Alberta.
- Experience in long‑term care, retirement or congregate living pharmacy settings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
