Consumables Assistant Manager

About the role

The Consumables Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring a friendly shopping environment and driving profitable sales. This role is based in Sherbrooke and involves hands‑on leadership of associates across front‑end, back‑end and fresh departments.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and profit goals by analysing financial reports, forecasting, and adjusting merchandising strategies.
• Develop and execute operational plans, manage budgets, and ensure optimal product presentation and pricing.
• Monitor asset protection, safety controls, and compliance with Walmart policies.
• Serve as a customer ambassador, handling feedback and resolving issues to enhance the shopping experience.
• Participate in community initiatives and sustainability programs.
• Lead and develop associates through regular meetings, performance coaching, and recognition.
