Construction Worker – Water Operations (Manitoba)

About the role

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking motivated Construction Workers to join its Water Operations branch in rural Manitoba. You will work as part of a crew maintaining and improving water‑related infrastructure such as bridges, dams, culverts and pumping stations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bridges, dams, and water conveyance structures.
• Assist with the installation of culverts, low‑level crossings, and related infrastructure.
• Support survey crews by cutting lines or drilling ice as required.
• Operate and maintain pumping facilities and related equipment.
• Participate in flood‑fighting, brushing, and seeding activities during emergency events.

• Physical fitness to handle manual labour and operate heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including seasonal or emergency assignments.
