Construction Supervisor – Civil & Structural

About the role

Our client in Kitimat, BC is seeking a Construction Supervisor with deep civil and structural expertise to act as the subject‑matter authority for all C&S construction activities on a long‑term contract. The role provides technical guidance, ensures compliance with design and regulatory standards, and drives safe, efficient execution in close partnership with the EPC contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve construction issues quickly to protect the project schedule.
• Coordinate with the EPC contractor to anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Review construction plans, work method statements, CWPs and IWPs to guarantee executable, compliant solutions.
• Participate in constructability and safety workshops, providing feedback on designs and methods.
• Oversee field execution, conduct audits and inspections, and verify installation quality.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure adequate quality‑control coverage.
• Evaluate RFIs and deliver timely, technically sound responses.
• Share lessons learned and best practices to continuously improve construction performance.

Required profile

• Proactive, hands‑on professional with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Extensive experience in civil and structural construction on large‑scale projects.
• Ability to work closely with EPC contractors and internal stakeholders to minimise risk.
• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, HSSE standards and industry best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving capability and attention to detail.
