Construction Site Assistant

About the role

Akash Homes is looking for a Site Assistant to join its fast‑growing construction team in Calgary. This hands‑on position works outdoors alongside the Site Superintendent, helping to keep homes built safely, efficiently, and to the company’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites, including waste removal, sweeping, vacuuming, and snow clearing when required.
• Prepare sites for inspections, support quality‑control processes, and conduct basic site inspections.
• Coordinate material deliveries, timelines, and workflow priorities with Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Assist trades and subcontractors to ensure work meets quality expectations and stays on schedule.
• Perform minor repair and finishing tasks such as framing adjustments, drywall touch‑ups, painting, and deck stair/railing installation.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about working outdoors in a fast‑paced residential construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and site organization.
• Ability to build positive relationships with site teams, trades, and project staff.
• Willingness to take ownership of tasks early and grow within the company.
