Construction Operations Manager – Winnipeg

About the role

CGI is seeking a Construction Operations Manager for its Winnipeg office to lead and oversee all active construction projects from pre‑construction turnover through closeout. The role ensures alignment with strategic goals, corporate policies, and business objectives while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for regional construction programs, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and EHS compliance.
• Monitor operational performance using KPIs, implement corrective actions, and report financial health.
• Coordinate staffing and resource allocation across multiple projects, ensuring qualified personnel, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Support project teams in resolving complex issues, maintaining accurate forecasting, reporting, and documentation.
• Review budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost reports to improve productivity and profitability.
• Champion the company’s EHS program and promote quality management processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.

Required profile

• 10+ years of construction management experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of trade disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and quality control.
• Understanding of CCDC construction contracts, drawings, specifications, and building codes.
• Experience on healthcare, higher‑education, or government projects is an asset.

Required skills

• Procore (project management software).
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• WHMIS certification.
