Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on‑site activities for our building projects. The role involves coordinating subcontractors, managing daily operations, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and on‑site teams (5‑10 people).
• Evaluate daily operations, plan and organize work schedules, and monitor progress against milestones.
• Prepare and submit construction budget estimates and manage financial reporting.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise staff, volunteers, and subcontractors.
• Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts, including revisions and change orders.
• Establish and enforce quality‑control policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Direct procurement of building materials and land acquisitions.
• Develop risk‑management plans and prepare regular project reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management.
• College/CEGEP education.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and physical capability for sitting, standing, walking, and handling tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Team‑player with strong judgement, organization, and ethical standards.
