About the role
SMRT FOUNDATIONS LTD is seeking a reliable construction labourer to join its Edmonton team on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role involves hands‑on work at various construction sites, supporting the crew with material handling, formwork, and site preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Load, unload and transport construction materials, and clean up debris and chemical spills.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
- Mix, pour and spread concrete and asphalt, and level earth to fine‑grade specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or disposal.
- Remove rubble and other debris to keep the site safe.
Required profile
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Prior experience in construction is an asset, but on‑the‑job training is provided, especially for youth.
- Support for youths: on‑the‑job training tailored to youth.
