Construction Helper – Onsite Labor Support

About the role

The Construction Helper provides essential on‑site support for a variety of construction activities. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on training and involves physical work at the job site. The role is fully onsite with no remote work option.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
• Support drilling and blasting operations on rock.
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites.

Required profile

• No formal degree, certificate or diploma required.
• Will be trained on site.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
• Available to work onsite full‑time; remote work not possible.

Required skills

• Concrete form erection and dismantling.
• Scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricade assembly.
• Concrete and asphalt mixing, pouring and spreading.
• Pipe alignment assistance.
• Drilling and blasting support.
• Traffic direction at construction sites.
