About the role
We are looking for a reliable Construction Helper to join our team at GSP Custom Homes Ltd in Winnipeg. The role supports various on‑site activities, from material handling to basic construction tasks, ensuring projects run smoothly and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Load, unload and transport construction materials.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
- Mix, pour and spread concrete and asphalt.
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
- Level earth to fine‑grade specifications and pave asphalt.
- Help with demolition, clean and pile salvaged materials.
- Perform routine maintenance and remove rubble and debris.
- Feed and tend machines or equipment used in construction and direct traffic at or near sites.
- Support crew with tool preparation and equipment setup.
- Assist in site clean‑up and waste management.
Required profile
- No formal degree, certificate or diploma required.
- Experience in construction is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb).
- Willingness to work shift schedules.
