Construction Helper

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Construction Helper to join our team on active building sites in Calgary. You will work outdoors in a fast‑paced environment, assisting tradespeople and contributing to a variety of construction tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials safely.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials.
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, building roofs and demolishing structures.
• Remove rubble, debris, existing floor coverings and contaminants.
• Perform general labour duties and support apprentices and other workers as directed.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction or related field.
• Comfort working outdoors, at heights, in noisy environments and remote sites.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, days and weekends.
