Construction Helper – Entry Level

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Construction Helper to join our on‑site team. The role involves supporting various construction activities, from material handling to basic site maintenance, ensuring projects progress safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt and other materials.
• Assist in aligning pipes, drilling and blasting rock, and framing houses.
• Level earth, pave and rake asphalt, and demolish buildings.
• Clean up chemical spills, remove rubble and debris, and perform routine maintenance.
• Operate or tend construction machines and equipment.
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites.

Required profile

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of on‑site construction experience.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team.
