About the role
Huawei Canada has an immediate permanent opening for a Compiler Engineer in the Heterogeneous Compiler Lab, focusing on AI, GPU, and CPU architectures.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software compilers and language runtimes for next‑generation hardware.
- Analyze and optimize performance of deep‑learning frameworks and system‑level software.
- Participate in scrums, project planning, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Research emerging technologies, survey industry trends, and present findings to the team.
Required profile
- 2‑5 years of experience in compiler development.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and system design.
- Hands‑on experience with LLVM and MLIR, including writing passes and dialects.
- Familiarity with heterogeneous architectures, ISA design, and memory models.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
Required skills
- LLVM and MLIR compiler infrastructures.
- C++ programming.
- PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
- OpenCL, Vulkan, OpenGL, SYCL.
