Community Relations Coordinator

About the role

The Community Relations Coordinator will bring the Winnipeg Football Club’s community impact strategy to life through youth engagement, school programming, outreach initiatives, game‑day activations, and special events. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help strengthen the Club’s presence across Manitoba and create memorable experiences for fans and community members.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver community and school‑based programs that align with organizational objectives.
• Plan and execute football camps, mascot, cheer and dance team appearances, and other community events.
• Draft media advisories, announcements, and communications for community initiatives and game‑day activations.
• Write, edit, proofread, and maintain community‑related content on BlueBombers.com.
• Organise game‑day activations, recognition programs, awards presentations, and halftime entertainment.
• Support the planning and execution of community‑themed home games and special events.
• Research, prepare, and submit grant applications to fund community programming.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, charitable organisations, community groups, and key stakeholders.
• Deliver exceptional experiences for participants, partners, and guests at all events.
• Provide event support for corporate functions and major Club initiatives.

Required profile

• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of digital and social media tools and platforms.
• Proactive, self‑motivated team player who can work independently and hands‑on.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
• 1‑2 years of experience developing and executing programs or events (sports, entertainment or media preferred).
• Post‑secondary education in a related field is preferred.
